Itasca County Housing & Redevelopment Authority (ICHRA) is a political subdivision created by Itasca County under Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.001 through 469.047.
Independent
ICHRA has been an independent governmental unit since 1972.
Seven Member
A seven-member board, appointed by the Itasca County Board of Commissioners, forms the governing board of the HRA. Each member is appointed to a five-year term. One member is a "resident commissioner" being a participant in either the HRA's Section 8 program or a public housing tenant.

Annual Budget
The annual budget of ICHRA approximates $5.5 million dollars.
760 Families
Each month the ICHRA provides rental subsidy and affordable housing to approximately 760 families.
Rental Subsidies
The HRA provides approximately $2 million in annual rental subsidies directly to private landlords in Itasca County.
High Performer
ICHRA maintains a high performer designation with the U.S. Dept of Housing & Urban Development for both its Housing Choice Voucher Programs.
