Itasca County Housing & Redevelopment Authority (ICHRA) is a political subdivision created by Itasca County under Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.001 thru 469.047.
Independent
ICHRA has been an independent governmental unit since 1972.
Seven Member
A seven-member board, appointed by the Itasca County Board of Commissioners, forms the governing board of the HRA. Each member is appointed to a five-year term. One member is a "resident commissioner" being a participant in either the HRA's Section 8 program or a public housing tenant.

ICHRA employs 16 staff persons.
Annual Budget
The annual operating budget of ICHRA approximates $6.4 million dollars. This does not include rehabilitation and development activities
760 Families
Each month the ICHRA provides rental subsidy and affordable housing to approximately 760 families.
Rental Subsidies
The HRA provides approximately $2.2 million in annual rental subsidies directly to private landlords in Itasca County.
